We want him more on the pitch- Liam Rosenior on Cole Palmer’s hat-trick
Cole Palmer quieted a lot of talk about his play this season by scoring a hat-trick of goals in Chelsea’s 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.
Palmer converted two penalty kicks and swept home his third goal in the first half off a Marc Cucurella cross to give Chelsea the expected win.
Prior to scoring the hat-trick, Palmer’s play had come under serious scrutiny due to a drop off in production in an injury hit season.
Speaking to the BBC after the game, Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior praised the efforts of his team’s first half performance and its’ creative Englishman.
“First half was everything you want in an away performance at this level. We put ourselves in a really really strong position. Second half, we want more. Our standards dropped.
Obviously delighted for Cole [Palmer]. There’s been a lot of talk around him, about how happy he is – he looked happy today with his three goals. Cole is definitely someone that we want on the pitch more often than not. And hopefully he can stay fit now” Rosenior said.
